5 plugins that your blog must have

pluginsAlas! I finally decided to buy a domain of my own after several months of contemplating. I am so excited to do all the necessary installations and configurations to make my blog up and running. I am not an expert when it comes to using Cpanel and all other related stuff but I am good at researching so I am positive that I will be able to figure things out on my own. And I did!

Since I started blogging two years ago, I have been a big fan of WordPress so I did not hesitate to use it as the platform for my new blog. What I like about

using WordPress is that there are so many things I can do with it. As a blog owner, it is important that you will be able to control the look and feel of your blog, and that’s what WordPress gave me. Being able to control of how your blog will look like is such a rewarding feeling, I especially love experimenting with different themes and adding useful plugins.

I don’t mind spending several hours of researching helpful plugins so long it will help me achieve what I want for my blog. Plugins are used to help make your blog secure and provide added features into it. Each of us does have our favorite plugins for our beloved blog and below are my top five preferred plugins.

  • Akismet. Who wouldn’t want to have this plugin installed in their blog? It is a plugin intended to filter spam comments. With Akismet enabled, you don’t have to worry about unwanted comments showing up at the end of your post.
  • WordPress Stat. If you don’t want to register to other sites to be able to track your visitors then this is the best plugin for you. It only requires you enter your API key which by the way is given when you create an account at WordPress. It tracks the number visitors in daily, weekly, or monthly basis. It’s a complete tracking tool.
  • Intense Debate. A plugin used to enhance your comment form. It has a nice design and there are so many things you can with this one. Visitors can subscribe to other comments of the blog post with built in social bookmarting buttons
  • Sociable. This plugin allows you to put several social bookmarking and social media buttons at the end of your every post. This allows visitors to easily bookmark your blog post.
  • WP Cumulus. A plugin made from flash that displays all of your tags in circular manner.

Whether you are an expert blogger or not, you know that what I have mentioned are present to every blog that you have visited. If you don’t have any one of the listed plugins in your blog, you are definitely missing out something.
