The pain emanating from your back usually gives you a hard time at work and your everyday life. Depending on where it hurts, there are a lot of things that causes back pains. While a lot of new medicines and treatments have emerged with aims to cure this menacing condition, there are a couple of easy and effective ways to prevent back pains.

Back pain is caused by certain physical conditions. Among of those causes that ranks on top are lumbar muscle strain, ruptured disc, discogenic back pains, lumbar arthritis, and osteoporosis. Most of these condition are caused by aging; introduction of too much stress and strain on the skeletal muscles near the spine and the spine itself; and the improper workout practices.

People who are in their senior years are those that are heavily affected with back pains. One of the causes for this is the aging of the bone cells themselves, which is caused by the lack of calcium in the body. The prevention for this type back pain is to get as much a light exercise as you can and of course take a lot of foods that are loaded with calcium. Milks, eggs and fish are good sources of calcium.

When carrying heavy furnitures around the house, it is important that you let the weight rest on your base by standing upright, and not on your spine. This usually happens when you arch you body forward when lifting heavy objects.

When doing workouts and exercises, you should make it a point that you start everything with warm up exercises through stretching. This aims to enhance the flexibility of the skeletal muscles to strengthen them. This will help in the reducing the risk of injuries and of course prevent the muscles from contracting unwanted strains, most especially near the spine.

Understanding the causes of back pains are the key to easy and effective ways that you can do to prevent them. By taking in foods that are loaded with calcium; the correct stance when carrying heavy objects; and of course proper workout practices through stretching exercises; you can be sure to reduce the risk of a heavy load off your back.
